Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hated It My cat was hospitalized three times with crystals within an 18 month period. The vet prescribed CD Chicken. My cat would not touch it. He was always an excellent eater. I have been giving him chicken only, wet foods from other suppliers. No crystals in 3 years!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My cats absolutely hated this. :( I had a cat develop a UTI and bladder stones. After she had surgery to remove the stones the vet recommended having her on prescription diet to prevent new stones from forming. So, I got this food, and my two cats that normally love all kinds of canned foods looked at their dishes like just I scooped something into their bowls that wasn't even food. I left them alone with their food for a couple hours and came back to check on them and much to my surprise one bowl had not even been touched and as for the other one, it was obvious one of them had eaten the food and immediately thrown it back up onto and around the bowl. Highly dissatisfied. I ended up having to throw out the rest of the can and I won't be buying this ever again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but expensive My guy had two blockages over one weekend so we were prescribed prescription food. We were given some samples and this is what he preferred. It works great and we have had no issues since. We also switched our other cat because trying to feed them separately was a nightmare. But at $60 a month for the wet and add the $23 in dry food I may go broke feeding them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't eat it.. My cat Mickey was recently diagnosed with a pretty serious urinary infection. The informed me he most likely will have problems the rest of his life and will need to be on a specific diet. My vet gave me (which means it must be good quality) 3 cans of the science diet, prescription wet food and the c/d. My cat who loves wet food would not go near it and I was told he could have nothing else especially during the first week. He was starving in a weeks time he maybe ate 1/2 of a can. I would mix a little of the science diet minced which he loves and still he wouldn't go near it. I also have 2 other cats who are gluttons and they wouldn't eat it either I don't know what's in it but when my cats won't eat something that's saying something. On the positive side they love the Science Diet minced and the dry food as well! I don't want to be totally negative...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and unappealing We were desperate..........two 13 year old cats, one with serious urinary difficulities. We were recommended this as top of the line.....Gracie and Midnight would not go near the bowls. I returned 7 cans unused and the other went into the garbage disposal. Had been told that they might not like it.......they hated it. Couldn't even get past the smell, which was difficult for me as well. AWFUL! It was worth a try.....we are still searching for something they will eat for their urinary health. This product might work for others......but we were unsuccessful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charlie loves it...too much After a bad infection, our Vet prescribed c/d for our 4 year old male. Only problem is Charlie would eat 3 or 4 cans a day (he's a big cat, but not that big), and the food is expensive. We do restrict his intake, supplementing the wet food with a half-cup of c/d kibbles at night. The bowl is always licked clean by morning. The best part is not a single recurrence of his urinary problem in almost two years.
