This is a great tank. Even the light's good for a low-tech planted aquarium. I love it for my fish. I have two cherry barbs, a Mastacembelus circumcinctus, an orange-finned loach, and more.
:) I highly recommend this high quality tank.

A Good Starter Set That Will Need Some Upgrades
I bought this set and it isn't bad, but it does have some flaws.
The hood and LED lights are good.
AS FOR THE FILTER, it is really loud and hangs over the back. I set it up in my bedroom and I had to shut it off so I could sleep. It sounds sort of like a coffee maker making coffee, only it is a little louder and never shuts off. I bought a quiet canister filter and removed the one that came with the set. The filter that comes with it will work fine as long as you are in a sort of loud area where there are a lot of constant noises, or you set it up in an area where you never really hang out at in your house like a dark basement. You can't use the filter if you are planning on putting it in a bedroom, study area, or other place in your house that you would like to keep kind of quiet.
The heater is just ok. It has a small knob that you can turn, but no numbers to tell you what you are setting it at. You have to use trial and error until you get the right temperature.
In the end it might be cheaper to just buy everything separate and buy the really good equipment to start with. It won't take long before you start pricing the upgrades, if you buy this starter set.

Perfect for 14+ ages. Highly recommended
If you are a fish lover, try this tank. It comes with 5 LED lights that give a perfect bright to fishes and all the habitat created. The size of tank is perfect. Not too big, not too small. It fits in any bedroom, or in the family room. It also includes, the heater, the filter, the fish net, and the petsmart's water check collector, it says if the water is ready to put fishes inside. Cleaning is not a problem, if you know that you didn't need to take out fishes, or taking out all the water, you just clean every part of the tank, the filter takes all the dust and waste and after all that you change the filter. If you thinking taking a five or ten gallon tank, don't waste time and money on that, it's better to have this well designed size tank in which you can introduce lots of fishes. Top Fin is your option. I'm so satisfied, as a beginner, and a fish lover.
