KONG® Space Saving Double-Door Pet Crate
I just brought this home (size Large) yesterday and put it together today. The instructions were somewhat helpful, but I had a lot of difficulty getting the crate to 'fold' open the way the instructions indicated. Once folded open, the doors would not slide up and down as designed, although eventually, after moving the handles that came attached incorrectly, I was able to get the doors to slide open.
The side door is a very poor fit and will not close completely, as something (I'm not sure what) does not align properly. I think that perhaps either the door, or the frame, is bent. It closes enough, however, for it to seem to be secure. Once the crate was folded open, and somewhat working, I tried to fold it closed and it absolutely would not. So it is now open, and it is going to have to stay open.
For the amount of money these cost they are definitely a poor value. I am not familiar with the other brands but I doubt they can be any worse than the Kong, and for a lot less money. I'm not sure I'll keep the Kong, in fact I would rather not, but I'll probably keep it as that would be a lot easier than returning it. Especially since it has to be folded closed to get back into the box, and this crate will not fold closed. I find this to be a really poor piece of merchandise and a terrible choice in dog crates. I am very disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone!

BEST Crate Going
I do rescue, and believe me, I have had some really tough fosters --- pitbulls. They are muscular, 65 pounds plus, and athletes. Not a one of them has ever been able to get out of this crate and that is saying something. I have had fosters who charge the walls when they see one of my cats go by and it didn't budge. I've not had to zip tie it, and am actually surprised at the few reviews that stated the crate was flimsy. My crates have very heavy wire, and the doors are very sturdy on thick tracks. I like the way the doors pull up and over the crate because in prior crates where the doors swing open, the dogs have been able to push and/or bend them open and escape. This feature also is space saving, and no more bumping into open doors when the dog is out in your room free. I highly recommend this crate.

My boyfriend and I adopted a 6 month old pit bull mix puppy. She is loving, affectionate and unfortunately, a ninja! She was in a crate in her foster home with no problems. We put her in this crate at night for bed time. Not even 10 minutes later, she was able to bend the crate and get out. I noticed another reviewer said that people probably keep their dogs in the crate for too long. 10 minutes is no time at all and she was able to bend the bars and escape. It is too flimsy for a strong dog. We also tried zip ties to reinforce the bars, that did not work either. Definitely not KONG strong. Very disappointed. If you are looking for something strong, purchase a crate that you actually build, not a foldable one.

The largest crate was perfect for our 80 lbs greyhound. Great design features like rubber rollers to move the crate easily on wood floors. The lift up and away doors save space since we leave it open when we're at home. Strong and sturdy.
