How is Medication Given? Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product. Administer the lowest possible dose for the shortest possible duration to obtain a response. These pre-scored caplets should be administered to the closest half-caplet dosage rate. To control pain after an operation, give about 2 hours before operation. Total dosage rate can be given as 2 mg per pound of body weight daily, or divided to administer 1 mg per pound two times each day. Typical daily oral dosing recommendations are 2 mg per pound of body weight.
What Results Can I Expect? Carprofen relieves the pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis, and it also relieves the pain associated with recovery from orthopedic or soft tissue surgical procedures.

Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold in a 60-count or 180-count bottle in 25, 75, or 100 mg strengths.
