Interceptor Plus is a chewable tablet for dogs. This broad spectrum parasiticide is used for the prevention of heartworm infections & disease and the treatment and control of adult roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and tapeworm infections in dogs. It can also prevent flea tapeworm infections in both adult dogs and puppies when given monthly doses.

How is Medication Given? Interceptor Plus should be administered orally, once every month, at the minimum dosage of 0.23 mg/lb (0.5 mg/kg) milbemycin oxime, and 2.28 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) praziquantel. For heartworm prevention, give a tablet to your dog once monthly for at least 6 months after exposure to mosquitoes. Please follow specific directions for use provided with product.
What Results Can I Expect? Interceptor Plus eliminates whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), roundworms (Toxascaris leonina, Toxocara canis) adult stage hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum), and the tissue stage of heartworm larvae and infestations when given in the correct dosage and when given orally.
Interference with invertebrate neurotransmission is thought to be the cause of the anthelmintic activity of milbemycin oxime.

Possible Side Effects: In some animals, Famotidine may cause side effects. In animals with allergy or hypersensitivity to this medication, do not administer it. Animals that have liver or kidney disease should be prescribed this medication with an abundance of caution.
