Usage: *For complete product information, please review the full prescribing information in the manufacturer package insert. Zenrelia should be given orally once daily, as prescribed by your veterinarian. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water immediately after handling the medication. Please consult your veterinarian before making any changes or discontinuing the prescribed dosing schedule. Contact your veterinarian if your pet's condition worsens or does not improve after starting the medication. Zenrelia can be administered with or without food. If your pet vomits or appears unwell after receiving a dose on an empty stomach, give future doses with food or a small treat. If vomiting continues, contact your veterinarian.
Missed Doses: Administer the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give more medication than prescribed or two doses at once. If you have questions about your pet's prescribed dosing schedule (e.g., timing, interval), please consult your veterinarian.
Side Effects: The most common side effects reported with this medication are vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy (tiredness). Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice signs of an infection (e.g., coughing⁄wheezing, bleeding or oozing skin sores, painful⁄frequent urination, etc.), anynew and abnormal skin changes⁄growths, or enlargement of existing skin masses. This is not a complete list of possible side effects; please refer to the manufacturer's product insert for more information. Notify your veterinarian if your pet experiences any of the effects described above, or if you notice any other side effects that are persistent or troublesome. Read the entire package insert, including the Boxed Warning, before using this drug. For oral use in dogs only-not for use in humans. Zenrelia is not for use in dogs less than 12 months of age. Due to the risk of infections, dogs should be up to date on vaccinations prior to starting Zenrelia. (see Boxed Warning). Do NOT use Zenrelia in dogs with serious infections. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment prior to initiating Zenrelia in dogs with a history of recurrent serious infections or recurrent demodicosis or neoplasia. Wash your hands immediately after handling this medication. In case of accidental eye contact, flush immediately with water or saline for at least 15 minutes, then seek medical attention. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. The safe use of Zenrelia has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Discuss the risks of using this medication with your veterinarian prior to use if your pet is in one of these groups.
Do not administer this medication to animals with a known or suspected allergy⁄hypersensitivity to it or any of its ingredients. Allergic reactions to medications may occur.
