Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold individually in strengths of 20 mg, 10 mg, 5 mg, and 2.5 mg.

Precautions Never administer to a lactating pet. Certain dogs can become dependent on Angiotensin II effects to maintain their GFR condition. Although this is an uncommon occurrence, those dogs do not tend to do well with ACE inhibitor use. Pets who are critically azotemic should be started on a once-daily dose and monitored closely for proper renal function. If your pet shows signs of a side effect, discontinue use and speak to your vet to determine whether a lower dose or a longer duration may be in order. Pets taking this drug should receive close monitoring for arterial blood pressure, renal function, and serum electrolytes. This drug can interact with potassium supplements, diuretics, and NSAIDs (including aspirin). Never give to a pregnant animal. Birth defects can result.
