Precautions
Keep away from children and animals. Never give to a dog or cat with a known systemic allergy to pork or pork product. Never use during a hypoglycemic period. The patient should be monitored for hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia during treatment with this or any other insulin. This is an essential part of achieving and maintaining glycemic control and for preventing related complications. Overdose may cause significant hypoglycemia or death. Safety and efficacy in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs or cats, or in puppies or kittens, is not proven. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental eye contact, flush right away with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. In case of accidental injection, hypoglycemia could occur. Pursue emergency treatment. Local or systemic allergic reactions are possible with product exposure in sensitized individuals.
