    DESCRIPTION:

    Onsior for Cats is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) medication that uses Robenacoxib to reduce inflammation and relieve pain caused by orthopedic or soft tissue surgery. It is a short-term treatment option.

    Key Benefits:

  • Onsoir contains Robenacoxib, an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
  • It targets the COX-2 enzyme, which causes pain, but it has no effect on COX-1, which is responsible for protecting the GI tract and blood platelet function.

    How is Medication Given?

  • Recommended dosage rate is 1 mg per kg of cat's body weight.
  • Administer at the same time each day for a 3-day max.
  • Only administer orally, and never administer concomitantly with another pain reliever.
  • For cats weighing 5.5 to 13.3 pounds, administer 1 tablet (6 mg) daily.
  • For cats weighing 13.3 to 26.4 pounds, administer 2 tablets (6 mg each, total of 12 mg) daily.

    What Results Can I Expect?Onsior:

  • Works to relieve pain for a full 24 hours in a single daily dose
  • Relieves orthopedic or soft tissue surgery pain
  • LOffers a delicious yeast flavor, which most cats love

    What Form Does Medication Come In? Tablet

    Dose and Administration: Sold in a packet containing 3 tablets (6 mg each).

    Possible Side Effects: If you believe your cat may be having an allergic reaction, discontinue use and pursue emergency treatment. Signs of an allergic reaction may include:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Swollen lips
  • Swollen tongue
  • Swollen face
  • Hives

    If you observe any of the following reactions, which may indicate a severe problem, consult your vet:

  • Abdominal pain, tenderness, or discomfort
  • Changes in appetite
  • Black, bloody, or tarry stools
  • Bloody vomit
  • Unexpected weight gain
  • Water retention
  • Fatigue or lethargy
  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Yellow eyes
  • Unusual bruising or bleeding

    Other side effects are also possible. Consult your vet if you observe any unusual signs in your pet.

    Precautions:

  • Never use for a period exceeding 3 days.
  • Only for use in cats.
  • Administering more than prescribed or for a period greater than 3 days can lead to a severe, life-threatening reaction.
  • Never administer with other NSAIDs or with corticosteroids.

    Storage Recommendations: Store in a cool and dry location.
