DESCRIPTION:

Fluconazole is uses to treat yeast and other fungal infections. This antifungal medication is also frequently used to treat skin infections, fungal organ infections (including those in the lungs), and in pets with previous intolerance to other types of antifungal. It also treats ringworm.

    How is Medication Given? Adhere to your veterinarian's directions when using this product. Your pet's dosage and administration frequency may vary, depending upon the severity of the infection.

    What Results Can I Expect? Fluconazole:

  • Treats a variety of internal and external fungal infections
  • Treats severe fungal infections of the CNS (central nervous system) more effectively than most other antifungals
  • Offers a lower risk of adverse reactions compared to other antifungals
  • Effectively treats ringworm

    What Form Does Medication Come In? Tablet

    Dose and Administration: Tablets are sold individually in 50, 100, or 200 mg strengths.

    Possible Side Effects: Anipryl is known to be a selective monoamine oxidase -B inhibitor. It could increase a dog's dopamine levels and enhance catecholamine neuronactivity.

    Precautions:

  • Keep out of reach of pets and children.
  • Tell your vet about all other medications, vitamins, and supplements your pet is taking before initiating treatment with Fluconazole. This drug can interact with others.
  • Do not administer to a pet with liver disease or impairment.
  • You and your vet should weigh the risks and benefits of administering this medication if your pet has kidney disease or kidney failure.
  • Do not give to a pregnant or nursing animal unless your vet decides it is worth the risk.
  • Never administer to a pet with a known allergy or sensitivity to Ketoconazole or any other "azole" antifungal drugs.
  • Tell your veterinarian if you have any questions about administering this product before you begin treatment.

    Storage Recommendations: Store in a dry and cool environment.
