Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best food for diabetic cats Diabetic cats need low carbs and high protein, so no dry food. Ever since putting my kitty on this his diabetes has gone into remission and he no longer needs insulin. I tried the Purina DM dry version but there’s much more carbs in that and my kitty’s glucose numbers shot up because of it so I put him back on the canned. This food is expensive which is why I only gave a 4 but it’s the best option short of a homemade raw diet for a diabetic cat or and older kitty. Haven’t found this food in my local Petsmart so have to order online which is a bit of an inconvenience but it’s actually cheaper that way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps my cat healthy I've used this food for a few years now to keep my diabetic cat healthy. She gets the dry kibble and doesn't have a problem eating it. I would give it five stars if it wasn't so darn expensive, but it's worth it to keep my buddy healthy. She's thirteen years old and doesn't act like it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I don't think I should have to pay for 2 shippings I was very disappointed that you guys made me pay for the shipping on both shipments. I don't know if that's right. My cat got ready sick because he didn't have his food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cat Magnet My 15yo cat has been diabetic for a number of years and gets shots 2x a day. When he was first diagnosed the vet put him on DM food. At first he only had the dry food but as he got older I added the wet. This last time he ran out of the wet food and cried and cried. When it came he recognized the cans and was so excited when I opened one up for him. Nicholas thanks Pet Food Direct for sending his favorite food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My guys loved this product! I have only bought this one time for my diabetic cat who has not been responding to insulin and her diabetes is still not under control. Each time I went to the vet. they increased her dose of insulin and is currently up to 8-units. After two weeks of giving her 1-can of Purina DM, along with 2-cans of Friskies, she for the first time had her Blood Glucose below 400! I can't totally attribute that to this addition in her diet, but I plan to stick with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Food for Senior Cat This food has helped my 14.5 year old male cat go into diabetic remission. He is more alert and loving then prior to the managed food program. Our vet recommended this product. I was purchasing this at Vet's office, but like the ease of delivery to my front door.
