They are nocturnal which means they should be active mostly at night but during the day our geckos tend to be inquisitive and take a wander around their homes to see what's going on. They belong to the family Eublepharidae, which includes all geckos that have movable eyelids. Make one of these assorted Geckos part of your family today. They DO eat live insects, I've personally kept with meal worms (which PetSmart sells very cheap), but you can also do crickets and superworms or even mini roaches if you'd like. Please note that the Geckos at PetSmart ARE babies, so their small tails and small body is not because of health issues, they're just babies. PSA: The Geckos at PetSmart are NOT kept on sand, so PLEASE, do NOT put your Geckos on sand. My Gecko is thriving right now, and loves being held. I have him in a 5 gallon (as I said they're babies) and he is on a paper towel substrate, I use a heat lamp and heat pad.Make sure to upgrade to a bigger tank (10-20 gallon) once your lizard outgrows his smaller one. I have a normal and a fancy (albino)! Both of them grew up just amazingly with no health problems. I do not recommend these animals if you don't like LIVE insects! Insects are a staple for leopard geckos and if you feel in the slightest this will be an issue I would recommend getting a different animal. Leopard geckos need a HEAT MAT! Not a lamp because they absorb heat from their bellies! They do not bask like bearded dragons! They also need their proper vitamins and calcium. As well as all access to a humid hide for shedding purposes! Hope this has helped you and your little friend. Be sure these little guys are the reptile you want because they can live up to 20 years!❤️ Bye~
Date published: 2016-07-12

Fancy Leopard Gecko Reviews - page 2

y_2020, m_1, d_26, h_16

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.4

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_0, tr_29

loc_en_US, sid_28635, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=HELPFULNESS, direction=DESCENDING), SortEntry(order=POSITIVE_FEEDBACK, direction=DESCENDING), SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_petsmart

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 87ms

reviews, product
