Rated 5 out of 5 by from It worked for my cat My cat has a laundry list of problems and does not empty his bladder well. At age 9 he began to have crystals in his urine. There was blood in his urine and occasional infections. He was quite uncomfortable and I was at a loss about what to do for him. The Vet bills were passing from the usual well into the thousands. His neurologist suggested Hills SD. It seemed to work overnight. Tim was no longer uncomfortable, and in a week the blood was gone from his urine. I have trouble complaining about the price when I think about the Vet bills I would have incurred. Thanks Hills!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my female cat's bladder stone My petite black female cat was peeing blood- her urine was visibly red and she was peeing on the carpet. Got a digital xray done which clearly showed a pea sized stone in her bladder. My vet researched and saw that there are two types of stones and a 50/50 chance of which one it was. For one type of stone, the s/d food will actually *eliminate* the stone. I've been feeding her s/d canned now for a month and the symptoms are all gone, she is going in the litterbox again and I can see that it is not red anymore. She gobbles it up, too. I take her in a couple weeks for a follow up xray. So likely, she had the "right" kind of stone that this worked for. For the other type, I believe the c/d food can help, but they also could require surgery, too. I was very glad that this food seems to have made a significant difference, although the followup xray will tell for sure. Just had to share since this is a major *solvable* issue that many cats probably are punished or gotten rid of for what is a legitimate medical problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast acting! Vet recommended! This worked really well for my patient! Was able to dissolve a struvite bladder stone in 4 weeks based on radiographs. My patient was notably more comfortable within a week and loved the taste per the owner! Will definitely try this in the future for suspected struvite bladder stones vs going straight to surgery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works wonders I have needed to use this product 2 times over the past 3 years. While I wish my cat didn't need it. The s/d can has taken care of my cats health problems. She loves the taste and begs for more. She did refuse to eat the dry option of this prescription diet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from my cat likes the food I actually don't know how to rate this product because the jury's still out. I won't know if this food dissolved the stones for another couple of weeks when a follow up exray is taken so I won't know any of the answers to your questions until then. All I can tell you right now is that my cat likes the food and is eating it fine. If the stones are gone then the product is well worthi the money.

Hi. I'm from Venezuela. My cat Sebastián was diagnosed with bladder stones, his veterinarian prescribed him Hill's s/d. We're currently in a difficult situation in my country and that product is not sold here. Would it work if I send you the prescription?
