product highlights

Feline Pine is 100% natural and safe for cats and kittens of all ages. This environmentally-friendly and dust-free litter provides outstanding odor control. Feline Pine, The Healthy Cat Litter is the number one natural alternative to clay cat litter. Pelleted litter is made from compressed natural pine wood--no new trees were cut to make Feline Pine. Litter is a feline favorite and has no odor, no dust and no tracking. Unlike other cat litters, there are no chemical additives needed to control odor as pine naturally bonds with ammonia, and there is never any sticky, smelly mess to deal with when the box needs to be changed. Safe for cats, humans and the environment, you'll love the way Feline Pine controls odor with its fresh pine scent. Instant absorption and concentrated formula means you'll use less litter and perform fewer litter changes. You'll know it's time to change the litter box when all the pellets dissolve, usually in about two weeks for a single cat.

I love the smell of the pine....much better than that perfume-y kitty litter smell. It didn't take our cats too long to get used to it either. Clean up is easy...and even if the cats do make a mess (as ours do) you can just vacuum the sawdust without worrying that your vacuum cleaner is going to die. I've only found that the urine smell was unbearable when I left it too long without changing it. It doesn't work with the poo smell but if you scoop it regularly it's no problem. It says it's safe to flush, but I haven't tried that yet. The best part is that it's cheaper because you don't use nearly as much as you would with regular litter. And our kitties don't run around with litter stuck to their feet (or nose).
Date published: 2008-03-04

Rated 5 out of 5 by NStar from I use the Feline Pine with the Breeze box. I tried several different things before coming to the pine. My cats used to go just outside the bathroom door with other litters / systems. The Pine works well and the used stuff falls through the holes in the breeze box into the tray. I LOVE that it's flushable. When I scoop, it goes right in the toilet :) Stir the pine a little when you scoop so the used pine falls into the tray and add a little pine every so often. Easy to maintain and it's almost always clean.
Date published: 2010-03-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by catandfiddle from LESS expensive if used right! You only need to just cover the bottom of the box with these pellets. They expand and turn to pine sawdust eventually and completely absorb odor upon contact with urine for days. I scoop and flush the solids, but throw the used pellet dust in the flower garden every 5 days, and ONE SMALL BAG LASTS ME A MONTH. That works out to 30 CENTS A DAY to keep my house smelling like I have no cats at all. Then it became a lot heavier, but we were still OK with it because it clumped really well. Now it's very heavy and hardly clumps at all - AND there is a TON of dust. Your perfect product became terrible and we are now looking for another brand. So sad. We wish you would use your original recipe.
Date published: 2019-12-17

Rated 5 out of 5 by zorils from Have used product for over 15 years Far better than clumping, smells great. Three cats have used same box at a time and only scoop solids twice a day. After flushing solids I scoop and sift remaining dust and pellets in the scoop over a plastic bag with only the dust falling into the bag and putting the remaining whole pellets back into the litter box. Therefore no waste and product last a long time. Add new pellets if needed to cover just the bottom of litter box. Too much makes sifting more difficult. Some whole pellets do at times stick in paws and are tracked out of box, ( you feel them with bare feet, they are hard! ), so a mat or rug is nice to have in front of box. No odors except when solids are present. Have ask if friends and relatives smell any cat odors in house when visiting and they claim not. 15+ years of perfection!
Date published: 2014-02-01

Rated 5 out of 5 by GreatProduct11111 from Works like Magic Natural Pine is amazing. I used to use clumping litter and my cat was sneezing all the time. When I got the pellets I noticed no more sneezing or litter everywhere. It is a great odour control as well. My advice is get your kitty to use the pine, you won't regret it.
Date published: 2013-08-08

Rated 5 out of 5 by Silleycats from Excellent for Bunny cages too!!! I tied Feline Pine because I read online that it was the best for Bunny cages which tend to smell constantly. Our Bunny is indoors and I don't tollerate odors, so I thought I'd give this a try as it is safe for Bunnys. I'm so glad I did! What a difference. It lasts so long and I never have odor from the cage. I'm sure it makes Bunny happy as well. I've been using Feline Pine for 2 years now and he's happy and healthy. Be sure not to use too much as it will swell up from urine. Use much less than you think you need. I only use about 3 cups for my bunny cage.
Date published: 2013-01-29

Rated 5 out of 5 by JessieNY from The best litter EVER! I tried Feline Pine because I had been using the other natural litters (corn) and although they are supposed to be dust-free, they are not. Plus they are very expensive. So I went back to the traditional litters, which were even dustier (which was a reason I stopped using them initially) but much cheaper. My cats would be covered with dust when they left the box. I was so unhappy with all of this litter. In frustration, I tried Feline Pine. It is unbelievable! I use so much less, it is costing me SO much less money. I have 5 cats, 2 boxes, and I have to do a full change of the litter ONLY once per month. There is no tracking of the litter around the box; there is no dust; the cats aren't covered with dust; there is NO smell of urine; there is no smell of feces (unless your cat doesn't cover up, then it takes a little longer for the Feline Pine to absorb that smell). I am sold! I even convinced my brother to try it and he is now using it exclusively for his 3 cats! Make sure you follow the directions on the bag. Don't put in too much, because the Feline Pine absorbs the urine and the box will get too full. Give it a try--you willkick yourself for not trying this sooner! And- it is better for your cats and better for the environment.
Date published: 2012-08-23

Feline Pine Cat Litter - Natural, Non-Clumping Reviews - page 2

y_2020, m_2, d_15, h_12

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.5

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_2, tr_305

loc_en_US, sid_13480, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=HELPFULNESS, direction=DESCENDING), SortEntry(order=POSITIVE_FEEDBACK, direction=DESCENDING), SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_petsmart

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 92ms

reviews, product

Where your allergies are concerned: 1) switch from clay-based car litter (to avoid the dust and chemicals). 2) Experiment with the pine chips, or try a cat litter that consists of either corn pellets, wheat pellets, or grass seed pellets. 3) Always wear a mask when scooping / sifting your cat box. 3) Consult with a good allergist and make sure you are tested for various allergens via a skin test or a blood test. If you are allergic to pets then your allergist can give you allergy shots designed to lower and eventually eliminate your allergic reaction to your pets. I have asthma and part of what triggers my attacks (in addition to grasses, weeds, pollen) consists of the cat box dust and the urine.
