I love the setup shown for the gray biOrb. What plants and fish and in this image? Is it a realistic setup to keep the fish healthy, or is what's shown too overcrowded for a long term setup?

    Asked by: Svar7alfh3im
Hello, the biOrb CLASSIC 4-gallon aquarium in this image contains a small biOrb sea fan in white, a small biOrb coral sculpture, a biOrb color ball in purple, a biOrb sea lily in white, a set of three biOrb starfish in pink, and a biOrb pebble set in white. This aquarium is a 4-gallon capacity. Please consult your local fish specialist for recommendations for livestock for this sized aquarium. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Is that water or what inside and does it ever have to be cleaned out?

    Asked by: Necey
Hello, the biOrb Classic 4 Gallon LED Aquarium does hold water and the regular maintenance on this aquarium is a filter change every 6-8 weeks (depending on the amount of fish) and a 30% water change. The substrate (ceramic media) should remain in the aquarium at all times because this is where the good bacteria live as the aquarium cycles and gets established. I hope this information helps. Thank you.

Is this a good tank for brackish water for opae ula tank. If not to do have a tank you could recommend

    Asked by: Robin9795
Hello, please consult your local opae ula specialist as the biOrb aquariums are filtered with an air pump and have porous ceramic media as its substrate. Sand should not be used in a biOrb and the air pump should be constantly running. Due to these features I would highly suggest consulting your aquatic livestock specialist prior to attempting this set up. Thank you.

Could you put African dwarf frogs in here?

    Asked by: L3xi42024
Hello, no African dwarf frogs are recommended to be kept in an aquarium no smaller than 10 gallons and no taller than approximately 11 inches from the substrate to where they can reach the surface of the water. Thank you.

Do I still have to clean it?

    Asked by: Donna Caparida
Hello, yes the general maintenance is a 20% water change weekly and a filter cartridge change every 4-6 weeks. biOrb offers a service kit that contains your water treatments, cleaning pad and filter cartridge with instructions, which come with your initial purchase and can be ordered separately as needed. Also a siphon hose (sold separately) can be used to remove aquarium water during a water change for easy maintenance. Thank you.

What kinda of fish can go into this tank? Can a different filter go with it because I heard the filter that comes with it is weak.

    Asked by: Qjackson
Hello, this aquarium is a 4 gallon capacity aquarium. A very minimal amount of fish should be housed in this sized aquarium. It comes out of the box as a Coldwater, Freshwater set up. If you decide to keep Tropical fish you must ensure their water is regulated with a heater and monitored with a thermometer, which are sold separately. The filter cartridge contains different media to keep your water at optimum water parameters for your fish and the cartridges must be changed appropriately as the media does have a lifespan. The filter sponge cannot be the only part replaced. As with any aquarium the fish keeper also needs to practice best practices such as but not limited to appropriate feeding of pelletized fish food, proper lighting habits, no overcrowding of livestock, etc. to ensure that the filtration functions optimally. Another tip would be to replace your air stone and air pump as needed to ensure the appropriate amount of movement and aeration is occurring. Depending on your bio load the filter cartridge may need to be changed anywhere from every 2 to 8 weeks. Frequency can change greatly depending on all aspects of your fish keeping habits. It is best practice to test your water frequently to ensure all is well with your aquarium. Thank you.
