    How is it given?

    1.Always follow your veterinarians prescribed instructions carefully while using this medication.

    2.Clean and dry the affected area and trim any excess hair before starting topical treatment with Tresaderm.

    3.Apply the prescribed amount of drops and gently massage into the affected area.

    4.If you have any questions about how to use Tresaderm, contact your veterinarian. Incorrect use can result in recurring infection or damage to the ear(s).

    How does it work? Thiabendazole is an antifungal agent, dexamethasone is a corticosteroid and neomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. These ingredients help to kill susceptible bacteria and fungi/yeast plus relieve associated inflammation.

    Tresaderm is available as: liquid drops that are used directly on the skin or in the ears.

    Dose and Administration:Always follow the directions given by your veterinarian. Trim any excess fur and clean and dry the affected area prior to applying Tresaderm. If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember but never double dose. Give this medication only to the pet it has been prescribed for. Always consult with your veterinarian if you have questions about how to use this medication properly.

    Uses:Tresaderm is applied directly on the skin or in the ears in order to kill susceptible bacteria, fungus, and yeast. It also helps relieve local inflammation associated with the infection.

    Storage:Keep refrigerated and out of reach from pets and children.

    Possible Side Effects: Skin irritation and redness at the affected area is possible. If Tresaderm is used on an open wound, it can cause minimal pain for up to 15 minutes. If ingested or used chronically, side effects fromthe dexamethasone may be noted including increased drinking/urination, vomiting, immune suppression, and weight gain. These side effects can resolve when the dosage is decreased.

    Some pets may have an allergic reaction to the ingredients in Tresaderm although this is not common.

    Precautions:Animals with a known allergy to any of the ingredients should not use Tresaderm. In dogs, rabbits, and rodents, corticosteroids can cause birth defects. This medication should not be ingested. It is for topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes.

    Drug and Food Interactions: Interactions are possible with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), other corticosteroids, or gentamicin. Other interactions may occur. Discuss all medications/supplements your pet is taking with your veterinarian prior to giving Tresaderm to make sure it can be given safely.
