Rated 5 out of 5 by from best dog food for food allergieS! My vet recommended the Purina HA formula ( vegetarian formula because my dog was having stomach problems and chicken was a main ingredient with the other choice of the HA). I also give him pork, a protein he has never been exposed to in the past. Now he's gaining weight, muscle and has no more stomach issues. My speciality vet found high allergens in his blood work, and because he has stomach problems this food was recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works good for my dog Most hydrolyzed protein dog foods are not 100% effective and I have to change brands once in a while, I can tell when the dog begins to get allergic reactions after being on the same product for about three months, and then I have to change to a different brand of hypoallergenic food for a while and then come back to this brand. Feeding dogs with food allergies is just as hard as feeding kids with the same problems..lack of variety and choice is a problem. When the dog loses appetite because is just plain 'sick of the same stuff all the time' I will switch brands, even though I know the brand may not be as effective as the regular food. I alternate between Purina Hypoallergenic chicken flavor and plain flavor, Science Diet z-d, and Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein, with the Purina being the primary food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything went very smoothly. My dog has stomach problems and has had pancreatitus, so he is on a very strict diet and this made my limited buying process convenient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT Dog Food This is NOT dog food. Any food that lists oils and corn starches as its first four ingredients is complete garbage. A temporary vet suggested Purina HA to solve skin irritation. After looking at the ingredients my only thoughts were...there's no way in h*ll that I would ever put this garbage in my dog's body. Purina you need to do your research. Shame on you for advertising corn, oil, and fillers as a way to treat allergies. Purina-Nestle, you are a poor representation of the dog world. I will no longer support any products advertised or sold by your company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Plan HA, Is Great! I bought this item a month ago. The Vet recommended it should help with her skin allergies and hopefully help with her seizures. She has been on it 5 weeks. Vet recommended 12 weeks. I can see improvements. She had one minor seizure. The cost is expensive, but if it helps her i will get it. Thank you Proplan HA.
