Rated 2 out of 5 by guywithacat from Seems sturdy but size guideline is misleading I bought this online based on the guidelines listed for animal weight. Unfortunately, the guidelines are nearly useless. The description and label state that it is good for animals up to 10 pounds. My cat is only 8.1 pounds and could not stand up without crouching and could barely turn around. It feels like a nice carrier but just isn't as big as they lead you to believe. Additionally, the listed dimensions are outside dimensions so the inside is substantially smaller than you would think. The listed dimensions are 19.4 in L x 12.8 in W x 10 in H. The inside dimensions - the actual usable space for your animal - are appx 18 in L x 11 in W x 9 in H. Note that the width is at the center line, and since the sides are tapered, the floor is actually narrower than that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jojo from Top loading should be standard!! I volunteer with a shelter, so seem to go through many carriers. Now with fostering motherless kittens, I get whatever carrier they're coming in, but now all I want is the top loader! It's almost cruel pulling a cat out of the regular door when they don't want to be at the Vet! The top door even gives the more of a window to look out to feel secure that their human is right there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by whiskers from IF YOU ARE PCSing read this Bought the carrier a few months ago. The problem is it is not approved by the International Air Transport Association so I have to turn around and spend money on an approved one which is a huge disservice. Good carrier for the cat though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bruce from Right Size for my Big Kitty I bought this to replace a smaller cat carrier that was too cramped for by big tom cat. We haven't needed to use it yet but I've left it out so he can try it. Predictably, he's ignoring it totally. However, it looks like it will hold him comfortably. He hates being confined to a cat carrier, so the test will be how well it holds up to his thrashing around. I chose this model for the size and the availability of a top door. The top door is a good size so I'm hoping it will be easier to stuff him into it while he's thrashing and clawing. Assembling it was a hassle. The plastic wing nuts need to be redesigned. They are hard to screw in and generally a pain. Old fashion metal wing nuts might be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MamaJo6 from Perfect for a new puppy or kitten I bought this three months ago when I picked up my new puppy. I could have her next to the bed in her carrier and still dangle a hand to keep her company at night. It was much easier to get her in and out of the top, but I could put her food bowl inside with the top closed and the front open to keep out the larger dogs. Sadly, she fits the weight limit but now has long legs so I will be purchasing the next size also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by darla from Great product Bought this to replace one that was too small for my cat. He does not like to be in carriers but the top load makes it less stressful for him to be put in and kept in for rides to the vet. I was worried he wouldn't fit through the top (14 pounds) but it isn't an issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lynda from Perfect for cats. Not so much for flying. I have had one of these for several years and it makes it so much easier not only getting my cat into it but getting them out at the vet. No more having to drag them out a front door. However...if you plan on using this for air travel and your pet will be going into cargo (as it will since this won't fit under a seat) be aware that many airlines WILL NOT accept this due to the top door. Particularly if it is an international flight. Read everything regarding your airline cargo flight requirements. Air New Zealand for example won't accept this crate nor will Delta. (I have only looked at International requirements as I am moving to New Zealand and taking two cats.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by piggy parent from Great for Guinea pigs I've been using this to take my two guinea pigs to the vet and back and on fire-alarm evacuation drills. Works really well. Easy to take apart and put back together. Having two doors makes it easy to get the girls in and out too

Is this product large enough for two male toy poodles?
