Rated 5 out of 5 by Caity B from Best litter I've found I have kept personal notes on the different types of litter I've tried and have rated them on a 1-5 star basis. My top factors are smell and dust. I have 2 cats and 1 litter box. One cat is finicky and one is chill. I clean their box daily. This is the best litter I have found (so far) so I'm surprised to see the first two reviews! In my experience, 3 months using this litter, there is very little to no dust. There is no smell. Both cats use this litter with no complaints. The one and only downside I have found is that the litter seems to go quicker than others which just means I'll have to buy 2 bags a month vs. 1 but it is totally worth it for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KH88 from Does Not Deliver on Promises This litter was talked up to me as the "answer to prayer" for all cat owners. I was told all the things listed on the front of the bag and was interested in trying it. Here is my experience. For simplicity, understand I have ONE small long hair female, spayed, and the box is 18"x24". I scoop every time I see pawprint "divots" in the litter, indicating she has used it. I cleaned the box thoroughly before using this new one, and filled up 3-4 inches in the pan with boxiecat. To start with the good, there was NO issue getting my cat to use this litter. And when they say scent free, they mean it! The litter really has no scent of its own or fragrance, which is good for my sensitive respiratory system. The cumps are smaller than with other litters, making me think its using less litter in the long run to soak up urine. Unfortunately, that's all the good I can say. Now the not so good. When I come into my apartment, all I can smell is litter box smell, even if I have just cleaned it. I use the litter genie for disposal and have never had this odor before, so I can only deduce the smell is coming from the boxiecat litter. I don't know where they get their low dust claim from. Not only was there a huge plume of it putting in the box, but EVERY time I scoop, and every "shake" to pan the "treasure" there is another plume of the dust. My whole room has a dusty layer on it after one week of using this. Based on the promise of flat top instant clump, I am disappointed to say I am still scraping clumps off the bottom. Lastly, this litter tracks the worst of any I have used. I am sweeping twice or three times a day on my hardwood floors. Long review but I wanted to make sure people knew what they are paying for. This is not a cheap litter. And maybe the bag I tried had something wrong with it, but I dont want to spend the money on it again to find out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JudyLC from Puzzled for the good and the bad Strange, unlike the previous reviewer, I get very little dust. I give it 5 stars for that. When my cat doesn’t first dig before she urinates, Boxie works as advertised: Again, I give it five stars. However, when she does dig so that the urine is on the bottom of the litter pan, for some reason the clay doesn’t clump, even though she covers the urine. So, I’m willing to pay the extra money for a litter that clumps and leaves no dust, but I’m always thinking “I want my money back” for the times I’m scraping the sticky mess off the bottom. Frustrating.
