Rated 5 out of 5 by Meng from Decent litter! Best in similar lines i have purchasing litter in petsmart for 2 years now. this one is the best i have tried in the BLUE lines. * TRACKING: yes, it is made from walnuts, and it is small, so it tracks, but my litter box has a small stairwell and i have a mat in front of it, so it is easily managable. Trust me, i live in apartments and hate tacking litter. *ORDER CONTROL: use mutiple litter box for multiple cats. I have 2, this one does a great job at order control for cat poops. but during the days i only have one litter box, the smell was not nice. So i f you want to use this litter for 1+ cats single litter box, do not recommend. *CLUMPING: clumping well, dont worry. *SMELL: alpine forest, LOL, not bad :) *vs others: imo, it is better than world's best, and other wheat based ones. i usually dont write that many words, but just thought based on the negative reviews, i should voice out its goodness too. again, no cat litter is perfect, it might take some time to find best for your home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Al3x from Best Litter Ever This litter is by far the best I've used. It doesn't track as much as the others I have tried, and it doesn't hold that nasty ammonia smell like all the other litters (non walnut). The alpine scent is the icing on top because you don't need the deodorizer at all anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Maddiemom from Doesn't clump properly This litter does not clump properly. The clumps just disintegrate when moved at all. I can't scoop the clumps without them just falling apart. I only have one cat using the box and she is not a frequent user so I can't imagine how bad it would be with multiple cats jostling the litter. I just put this litter in the box and am going to have to change it out. Way too expensive to have to change out immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by loveforcats from Excellent Product, great work I have tried multiple types of cat litter and this is one I have found I like best, Yes there are some negatives to this product but nothing is 100% perfect Cons: It does travel with your pet and I get some out of the box around the litter box Pros: Holds in the odor very well, just clean it daily but very easy to scoop and it has lasted me one month without changing out the litter itself. Once opened smells great with the alpine smell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TeakasMom from Absolutely Terrible This review is meant specifically for the scented variety (or varieties) of the Naturally Fresh walnut-based litter. I regularly buy the Naturally Fresh Multi-Cat litter (the red bag). Because of some pickiness of one of our cats lately, I figured I'd try out the Herbal Attraction and Alpine Meadows varieties, hoping the better smell would make it a draw. The Herbal Attraction variety went in first, and wasn't met awesomely. It didn't clump super well and it didn't nullify cat odors well, either. I had to rotate it into a fresh batch pretty quickly, especially compared to the red bag variety. The scooping practices were the same as usual, too. So why am I mentioning the Herbal Attraction variety here? Because while that one failed pretty heavily, this one failed even more. Every bad clumping issue I ran into with the Herbal Attraction variety was magnified so much with the Alpine Meadows variety: every 'clump' fell apart with no effort, even if it had been sitting for any length of time. The odors weren't so much being absorbed and neutralized as covered up, which wasn't being helped by the clumps falling apart at the lightest touch. I couldn't even scoop the box without them completely falling apart. It also turned from granules into powder quite quickly. To top things off, the Alpine Meadows variety ended up completely molding within a week thanks to all the clumps breaking apart. When I went to scoop it just a bit ago, the litter was no longer usable. The boxes get regular (daily+) scooping, and in the span of the day between its previous scooping and tonight's, the litter had become nigh unto a solid brick (remember, it regularly turned to wet powder at each scooping), and the hints of green were pretty obvious, despite being nonexistent the night before. The addition of the scent to this litter makes it much less worthwhile than the unscented varieties. If you're a fan of the Naturally Fresh brand, avoid Alpine Meadows, and probably Herbal Attraction as well. It suffers the same "plumes of brown dust" issue the unscented varieties do, along with a not-exactly-amazing scent, and even costs dollars more. If you dislike the Naturally Fresh litter for any reason, avoid this litter completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KCGrey from The Best in Class This is simply the best cat litter made. I've tried others and this beats every one hands down. No problem with transition to this from the other so called best litters, but I will not go back. This is a natural product, very very little dust, and absolutely no oder at all. Yes, it costs more, but also lasts at least twice as long as the other litters do. So why aren't you buying this one? Give it a try.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lasermitch from You will be wanting your money back. Ok. This litter is about the same consistency of coffee grounds. Since it is made from walnut shells it also happens to look just like brown-black coffee grounds. I suppose this litter does as it advertises however, with an absolutely horrible side-effect. It's sticks to everything. Cats paws, walls of the litter box, exiting edge of the litter box.. Mucho Importante! Within 48hrs I had walnut shell dust tracked thru the hallway, on the counters,in the cat bed, on my bed, and in the cat water dish also. For two days of use, I had about two hours worth of clean up. Never again. Stick with the litter with the initials W.B.L. or you will have coffee grounds ( literally ) all over your residence. Not cool.

my kitty uses clay litter. He is an old cat. Will he have TROUBLE using your clumping litter?
