Associate Face Covering Requirements Update

 

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our teams has been at the forefront of every decision we’ve made. This includes our decision to require face coverings for all associates and customers in U.S. and Puerto Rico stores, and our public advocacy for stronger enforcement of local face covering mandates.

Part of why we have updated our requirements asking associates to wear only solid-colored cloth or disposable face coverings is for the safety of our teams and our pet parents. We recognize face coverings have been a polarizing issue across our communities and never want them to be a source of conflict or confrontation.

We believe it’s important that customers can easily identify associates in our stores, and that face coverings are incorporated in a manner that is consistent and professional.

We appreciate the ongoing cooperation with our face covering requirements by our associates and pet parents, as we continue striving to create a safe and healthy store environment.
