Assembly Directions: Start by removing the filter cover to access the internal components. Using the finger tab on the Bio-Holster™ grid, pull upward to remove it from the filter. Tilt the holster to one side to allow excess water to drain back into the filter. Then, tip it in the opposite direction so the NoDrip™ basin is at the lowest point, catching any remaining water before fully removing the cartridge. Discard the used cartridge and retrieve a new one from the packaging. Insert the new cartridge into the holster, making sure to align the key slot properly. Once the cartridge is securely in place, reinsert the holster into the filter and replace the filter cover. To keep your filter performing at its best, it's important to maintain the cartridge regularly. Do not discard the Bio-Holster™ grid, as it is a reusable component that should stay in place within the filter. When replacing the cartridge, always rinse the Bio-Holster™ using water taken directly from the aquarium. Avoid using tap water or any cleaning agents, as these can harm beneficial bacteria essential to your aquarium's health. Used cartridges should be discarded in the trash. For optimal performance and water clarity, replace the cartridge every 4 to 6 weeks.
