I have a beautiful white parakeet. He brushed up against it and a tiny bit of red rubbed off on him. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw it. I thought he had been injured somehow. But on closer inspection I realized it was the color from the playground that bled off onto my parakeet. I won't be putting it back in his cage. Perhaps a dye free one would be a better idea

Rated 3 out of 5 by koii I'm pleased with how this came out, my tiel sits on it, doesn't really play on it just perches and preens on it. My only issues with this was the tiny glue bottle it came with, I feel that screws would hold better, and the price for this was a bit much for its quality. However it's a good thing to get for your bird if you want them to have another place to hang out on. I wouldn't get it for anything larger than a cockatiel, even mine looks a little big for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 65454894651894789 This is the third one of these that I have purchased(for big bird) and it is the most that I've paid for one. The first two had a thick particle board bottom in them that had fairly deep holes to put the dowels into. Run a few screws up through the bottom into the dowels and they stayed together pretty well. This new one has a thin piece of warped wood covered in plastic shelving material while the old ones used a Formica type surface. the swing that used to be made with three dowels has also been cheapened. I see no hope in holding the new one together as they have cheapened bottom board. The dowel holes are very shallow. I'll figure something else out. This one goes back to Pets-mart in the morning. I am very disappointed in this new sub-standard version.

Mine looks a tad different than what is shown. I guess I have the upgraded version. It was a whim buy. I wanted my boys to have something to play on/with while they were out of their cage. First day I put it on top of their cage, they avoided it was the enemy. So I placed a snack for them on top and in it. Took about another day before they felt comfortable enough to try it out. Now they're constantly on it. They love to perch. I fixed it to a way that they'ed have fun with it. It's trial and error. Recently they like to lift the ladder up and drop it down. Also they decided that the ladder can be used to move up and down on or perch on it. They don't like the bead string thing, but maybe they just need more time.
