This is a pretty decent overall plant. I bought a few stems about a year ago for my 10 gallon divided betta tank. The plants did surprisingly well with incandescent lighting, which I had definitely not expected. Once I switched to fluorescent lighting they really took off. They grew a ton of new side-shoots (or whatever you call them) which I was able to break off and replant. The only reason that mine hit the dust was because I had a massive algae outbreak that covered the poor plants and choked out all of their access to light, causing them to disintegrate. (Yikes!) I did like these plants very much and hope to buy more in the future (once I'm sure the algae won't come back).

I purchased 2 of them, and so far so good. My guppies love the frill plant, so doe my neon tetras and platys. It adds a nice touch visually and the fish love the new addition to their tank. I hear its supposed to help lower nitrate.. so I'm looking forward to seeing that reflected in the next water test. I plan on buying more of these frill plants. They are pretty simple to place in the tank. they look a bit weird when they package them in a bag but when you put them in the tank they are nice and fluffy again and not like wet feathers which they resemble in the bag.

Grows in time and compliments the aquarium. It's very low maintenance.

I bought some of this plant a few months ago, it was about 8" tall, now it's about 18" tall. I have it in a 55 gallon mbuna tank with 7 mbuna and 1 yoyo loach. They nibble on it every now and then but not enough to impede it's growth at all. I have no CO2 or special lighting, I don't even fertilize. It's a very hardy and easy plant.
