Do you have a single small bird? Are you a little tight on funds? If you said yes to either or this is probably the cage for you.
I got this cage for my first ever pet bird (a single budgie) who I've spoiled since day 1. Certain birds can be kept alone with no problem, other birds are social like budgies and need interaction. I give my little guy plenty of attention, but for everyone that isn't an option and they resort to getting another budgie to keep their current one company. This is great. However, if you have more than one budgie PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS CAGE!
As someone else said the bigger is better with every animal. And though my current bird is my first I did hours upon hours of research before committing to getting him.
For a single budgie or other small bird this might be the perfection solution for you but for more than one you'll need bigger!
Hope I helped and God bless!

I use this cage as a travel cage only, if I need to take my bird to the veterinarian. It is too small for one bird as a regular cage, so please, PLEASE buy a bigger cage for your bird(s). There are a few flaws, like the perches moving too much from side to side and the doors catching on one another. The seed and water cups are wonderful, especially since they should come with covers, which makes them great for travel. I actually took out the seed cups and use them in my bird's regular cage, which is about six times bigger than this cage. Like I said, great for use as a travel cage, but too small for an everyday cage.

The cage doors are spaced so close together that when i go to feed them the side doors will lift up the middle door and then slam down, scaring both of my birds, and the wire spacing and closeness of the cage doors made it very difficult to put in a bird bath without scaring them half to death. the sloped roof of this cage also made it difficult to hang the swing i got for them. This is a good cage for the price if you dont mind these few defects.

If you're getting parakeets, this is a ONE BIRD CAGE (at max). I'm reading about too many people having two birds in this type of cage. It's just not good for them. While you can house these birds in this type of small cage, it's not healthy. They need room to fly, and room to play.
Always remember the bigger the cage, the better.
