This breeder is decent. It serves the purpose fairly well. I've had 3 molly fry and one guppy fry residing in it for the past several weeks.
-Slots on bottom keep the inside bottom of this breeder surprisingly clean and allow for some water exchange.
-Small round hole in the lid allows a little air for surface.
-"Handles" on the sides provide integrated air pockets to ensure it stays afloat.
-No suction cups, which means even a weak filter's current will push this breeder around your tank.
-No slits on sides, only on bottom, so the water flow is minimal.
-Unfortunately, the floating design is somewhat inadequate, allowing the breeder to frequently sink into the water until the water level inside the breeder is against the lid. Once it does this, you lose the air layer beneath the lid, at the water's surface. This means that a labyrinth fish (betta, dwarf gourami, etc) will not be able to breathe from the surface unless you leave the lid off, risking someone jumping out or in. Worse, once it starts sinking this way, there's no way to reliably get it to stop doing that, because...
-there are no suction cups and no way to add them.
-Tank can list to the side if it bumps into a tall plant while free floating. I've not had the lid come off yet when this has happened, but a heads up.
-The divider doesn't provide adequate room for a larger live birth fish, such as a pregnant molly.
Summary: I probably would buy the larger 3-way breeder if I had it to do over again. This one is adequate if you need it for a few fry, but don't get it to house an aggressive or sick fish.
