by reptiles4her Not for bunnies with long hair
I'm sure this bedding would be nice for some people, but not me. I was very hesitant after reading the reviews, but I decided to give this a chance anyway. Immediately my lionhead rabbit started eating it!! Of course I freaked out because I didn't know if it was edible or not. I left it in for a good 8hrs and I was surprised when my bunny laid down. It was all over her fur, stuck in her butt, and all over her face. I just couldn't deal.
I would NOT recommend this for any long haired animals. Unless you have the time and patience to comb it out. I, also, was worried about it getting in her eyes. (if you can't tell this is my first bunny). I couldn't go to bed without removing the bedding and now I can sleep easy. The smell is awesome, but not worth it, in my opinion. (i tried to upload a photo but it's not working. ill keep trying)

please remember that while this might smell pleasant to you , animals have a much keener sense of smell then we do. imagine your whole house was drenched in perfume. also the granules are uncomfortable on their feet.

Decided to try this out for my 2 buns and didn't care for it. It smells nice & does a mediocre job, but it is incredibly messy. I have a lop & a mix bun and they just get covered in the stuff whenever they go into the litter box. They also track it out pretty much everywhere they go, so it gets all over the rugs we have down for them. One of them is an avid digger so I didn't even bother putting any of this in the second litter box we have or it would be an even bigger mess and end up literally everywhere. Not sure what to do with it now since I could only buy it in such a huge bag. Might just mix small amounts in with paper bedding...This bedding may work better for smaller animals but I DO NOT recommend it for bunnies or small animals with longer fur!

We have a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit. We use this product not as bedding (too expensive for that kind of quantity) but as a litter box filler. Our rabbit loves to eat out the little bits of lavender as a treat and it helps keep him box trained. It clumps pretty well and keeps down the scent of the urine. We change it every 1-2 days and so long as the area is kept mostly clean, our bun only goes in his box.
