This is a great little tank! Perfect for my Betta. I strongly prefer glass tanks. Acrylic/plastic tanks scratch easily. This tank is stylish, but simple. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 stars.
The LED light is very nice, and you can tip it back, out of the way for water changes.
I agree, the cover is thin plastic, and a bit flimsy. There is enough room to run cords through. I also got the Top Fin mini heater with this tank.
The filter is just fine. There is a flow regulator switch, and you will want to turn it all the way down if you intend to use this tank for a Betta (see owners manual that comes with filter). See previous review from a PetSmart employee and picture posted how to position filter spray bar. Doing this, cuts down on the current, and my Betta is fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Employee Filter WAY too powerful
I love this tank. It's modern, the light is bright but not too bright, and my fish seems to love it. However, the filter is far too powerful for this tank, even when the spray bar is directed at the wall or pointing upwards.
I turn it on for a few minutes every day to keep the water clean, but I really recommend turning the filter off most of the time. If you don't want to bother with that, I would recommend a different tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Schlotzhauer Great Product
This was my third purchase for a tank in 24 hrs. The other two were either missing the part for the filter or broke when pouring the water in (different brand). However, I came across this brand and was skeptical of purchasing it because I was afraid something bad could go wrong. To my amazement, it only took less than five minutes to set up and was satisfied with the end result. Glad I gave this brand a shot.

by Fishy79 Great stylish aquarium
I am very happy with this aquarium. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the filter is too strong for betta fish, as others have pointed out. Read back to a previous review from a Pet Smart employee for advice on this, though. He recommended positioning the spray bar so that it is pointed to the side of the tank. I do this and leave the bar almost completely submerged. This minimizes the current and water noise and my betta fish seems happy. The instructions that came with the tank were not so clear on how to position the filter in the tank. I like that it is a glass tank and the overall look is simple and modern. I would definitely recommend this product.
