MARINELAND® 5 Gallon Crescent Aquarium System
Beta loves it!
This is the first fish tank I have ever purchased. It was very simple to set up and the acrylic seems to be very sturdy. The filter which came with it is very quiet and seems to work very well. I did purchase a small heater to go with it as I have the tank in my basement.
My only con so far, is the small feeding hole on the lid. (in photos) Dust/lint etc easily gets into the water, and I find myself putting a small piece of plastic wrap on it to avoid any particles from getting into the water. Other than that it has been a great starter tank!

I was looking for a nice little tank to have on my work desk, and this one is just perfect! The filter and LED light both work great, and I like the shape of the tank much better than a traditional 5 gallon. I did use a strip of electrical tape to cover one row of lights since it was a little too bright for the one fish I have in it. I'm currently using it as a quarantine tank for a baby electric yellow cichlid, who is enjoying the safety of her own tank! I also added a heater, which you can see in the picture. I absolutely love this little aquarium!

It's OK for a first-timer fish tank person.
I bought it from a friend at a big discount. I didn't have instructions and had to figure out how to set it up and that was easy. She included a small heater and with the heater, pump and place to hang the light, it all takes up a lot of room. It was a little hard to get it all to fit the lid slots. The light is wonderful, but you have to put the tank where it's seen from the front only because of all the equipment in the back. I bought my own rocks and decorations. Added a live plant and plan to add one more small one. I bought it sight unseen and assumed it was a traditional rectangle size, but that's not a problem with knowing what you buy online or in the store. Ran the filter for 3 days before buying fish and my water tested perfect. Bought 2 orange Platys and hope they live OK since this is my first fish tank. I hope they aren't the type to jump or the slot in the front is very wide. Moisture does accumulate on the lid on the side where the light isn't shining through.

Great First Fish Tank!
I recently purchased this aquarium as a first fish tank for my sons.
We all love it so far! Its beautiful and easy to maintain. The LED light is great too and gives the tank a lot of life. We have 3 male guppies in it and they are doing great. We added a small heater and a thermometer and they are barely noticeable due to the great shape of this tank. We also have a small bubble rock in there too and it looks beautiful!
The only con is the condensation that gets on the lid, but its easy to wipe away so its no big deal. I like the small opening on the lid, it makes it easy to feed without having to bother with taking the lid off.
I would recommend this fish tank to any beginner!
