I bought this tank for my sons betta fish. Have had nothing but a dirty tank since we set it up.. It never stays clean. The filter does not work at all... Very disappointed on this product. I do not recommend this tank to anyone.

It's a nice small tank for a betta. It has an under gravel filter (which I'm not a huge fan of but it works) that connects to a clear tube that goes up and connects to the motor/pump that has suction cups to attach it to the wall of the tank. I filled the clear tube with filter floss and ceramic bio rings so that there is actually some kind of filtration going on. If you don't put anything in it its just rotating the water which is no help. The filter media is also good because without it the current is too strong for a betta and it'll get knocked around the tank. There's also space for small plants. I have a marimo ball and 2 small silk plants. If your betta is a big swimmer then this is the wrong tank to get, but if your just starting out or your betta doesn't need a lot of space this is a great tank.

Purchased the tank for 1 beta. Within a week the tank is dirty with algae growing and has to be completely dumped and cleaned. The under gravel filtration system only pulls the dirt to the bottom making the gravel filthy and hard to clean. The store recommended a higher powered light bulb but doesn't sell one to fit the tank or even a replacement for the tank. Very frustrating since Top Fin appears to be a PetsMart brand. Now having issues finding a new bulb at all. Hoping not to have to buy a completely new tank.

Hi, I am from India and during my latest visit to US (South Carolina), I happened to drop my self in a Petsmart at Florence. I saw National Geographic™ Half-Moon Aqua Oasis Starter Kit, and Acqua kit for Betta fish and this one. Personally I found the National Geography one Ugly and I was confused bewteen aqueon and this one. I compared the two and really liked its shape (Standing Rectangle). It came with an under gravel filter (2V) and Light(5V). I came back to India. Installed it and kept two gold fish in it as per Fen Shui (one black and other gold/oramge). I forgot to mention it has an opening slab at the top to feed the fish. Now its been a month, the water is crystal clear and both my fish are very happy and active. Its placed on my study table and I really love it. I clean it with a cotton cloth by dipping it in white vinegar + equal amount of water. I 100% recommend this to people who want to nothing( are lazy as me) but want to enjoy seeing there fish. One thing to tell every week on Sunday i change 25% of water. Without any glitch in mind go ahead and buy this aquarium. You will NOT regreet. And Yes I Love Petsmart (Please open your branch in India or start selling online to India)
