Rated 2 out of 5 by Gorge The pump is incredibly loud
The reason I gave it two stars is because it's relatively inexpensive and works as it should. The downside is that it's so incredibly loud. I can hear the hum over my television or music, even when the volume is cranked. What's worse is that it's called the 'whisper' when it does anything but.

It is generally a pump that can not last long. My pump suddenly lost pressure and then by opening it up, I found both of the rubber diaphragms cracked and teared. I thought i,m still cover under warranty for less than 2 years. However, the warranty specifically stated of not covering any rubber parts.

This product works great in my 10 gallon aquarium. It makes lots of bubbles and has a very affective airflow. I recommend this to anyone with an aquarium.

I had 2 whisper 60 in 34 and 40 gal tanks they were great out of the box but they soon lost pressure after a few months. I thought it was the airstones clogging so I kept replacing them. The new stones worked great but would lose pressure after a month. I finally took the pumps apart and all the diaphragms had cracks in them and when the backpressure built up they would lose pressure. I came here to buy replacement parts. With shipping they are as much as a new pump. I've had pumps that were over 20 yrs old that still worked. Seems that because all the diaphragms cracked it is a manufacturing problem.
