Top Paw PoogoStick Pet Waste Scoop & Rake
I have a 70 pound Boxer (not a delicate pooer) and keep my yard mowed short and neat...this product is the best waste removal tool I have used for the the past 11 years. Haven't used it in the cold Cleveland winter yet, but I understand it has plastic tines, so I will be gentile with it. Guess I am a fan of common sense, don't know what else to say :)

Excellent Product - New Revisions Made It Better
We purchased our first one back in December 2013. After a few months, it broke and the spring had rusted. I wrote the company, they responded in about one hour. They even called me.
Story short, they made changes to the design, made the plastic more durable, and added a stainless spring. The owners sent me a new one promptly, free of charge. After having it a few days, it works better than the first.
This is a great up and coming company. This is an excellent product / business owned by competent people, not a mysterious business conglomerate.

This is the second time I've written this review, as the first one disappeared. What iinspired this purchase was the addition to our family of another pitbull mix rescue. The first one is 45 pounds, but the new boy is heftier at 60 pounds. They have some serious sized poos, as I discovered as I was picking up tons of poo in the yard last weekend. After 10 minutes of bending over, my back hurt, hair was in my eyes, my hand was sweating from the bag, the bag was falling off, and I was tired of straining my neck muscles from gagging in response to the smell and feel of dog poo. So, I went to my local PetSmart to find a solution. I know a shovel won't work, as I have thick, tangled grass. All of the rakes felt really flimsy and like they would not hold up to huge poos or my grass. I noticed this Poogo Stick was on sale, so after inspecting it with the 10 year old whom would be operating it, we purchased it. Now, this thing came just like you see in the photo with s 6x18 or so piece of plastic on it with a photo, title, and...assembly instructions? Why do I need assembly instructions for a fully assembled item?
We didn't get around to trying out this thing until today. My daughter watched several YouTube videos on attaching the plastic bag (it's so simple. Put the bag inside. Push the bag in the gripper holes. Pull it over the bottom of the pan. And done.) I started out by picking up 5 or so piles of poo. It was so easy. The tines easy got under the poo. The grass wasn't an issue. I didn't notice any pulling or sticking in the grass. I called my kid over and told her it was her allowance on the line, so she best get to scooping. She picked up two poos, but when she went to pick up the third one, one of the plastic pins holding the part that pushes the poo off the tines broke! So, now there's a piece of floppy plastic sitting on top of the tines. I'm pretty annoyed that it broke so quickly and easily.I just hope I can find my receipt to take it back. (I probably tossed my receipt, because who thinks they will ever return something that has fecal material on it. Not me, and yet, here I am...) I do plan on repurchasing this item. I will review it once again, after I've tried out the new one.

Quality?? It broke on the first use!!
After reading the only 4 reviews which were all posted on the same day, I purchased the Poogo Stick from my local PetSmart. We just rescued a second dog, and two pooing beasts is way too stinky to pick up by hand. I also have thick, tangly grass, and it's disgusting to try to pick up squished, grassy poo.
It's Friday after work, the lawn guys come tomorrow, so my 10 year old sat down and watched some YouTube videos on using the Poogo Stick. We went into the backyard, set it up with a bag, and began scooping poo from a 60 lb pittie and a 45 lb pittie. I easily pick up 5 or so piles, and really, it's easy. I hand the device over to my kid, she picks up two piles, goes to pick up a third, and a plastic prong that holds the part that pushes the poo off broke!!! I am ticked. One use? Really? Let's hope I can find my receipt so I can return this piece of junk.
