Toys"R"Us® Pets Motion Activated Doggie Tail Dog Toy
Although a bit of a challenge accessing battery I think it a good safety factor. My standard poodle pup absolutely loves this toy & will play with it for ages several times a day. It's fairly rugged but if played with a lot, will go through the batteries however well worth the investment if providing so much entertainment.

My dogs love them.
My dogs go gaga over this thing. I'm planning on grabbing two more next time I'm in the store so I have one for each dog and a spare. Now best I can tell this is not intended for big dogs. I'd suggest nothing much over 20 lbs as the plastic is durable but it is formed hardened plastic and we all know our big dogs rip through them. The fabric also seems to be of a decent strength but I know my dobermans would rip it apart but my moms Yorkie plays with it morning noon and night.
Ok so I can help out here.
1. When you buy this plan to buy an eyeglass kit. The screwdriver is about the only one that will fit this toy. Another good buy is rechargeable batteries. This thing can eat em quick.
2. To turn this on look for the square protruding from one side of the ball. In there is a button... Push da button ( always wanted to say that). Now bang it into your hand to make sure it is operational.
3. For removing and replacing the ball pay close attention to the Velcro opening down one side of the device and remember how it goes back in so you don't have protruding fabric. There is a way it folds so it closes the ball entirely with no Velcro as an obvious rip me sign.
Keep in mind as you dogs chew on them the button may be turned off but you can simply turn it back on by feeling for that square from the outside and pressing the fabric down until you feel the button depress into the ball.

Fun but wouldn't buy again
The dogs loved it, but after a couple days of play (one dog is 45 lbs and the other is 22 lbs) it broke down. When it vibrates it sounds like a bunch of loose gears rattling about and the vibrating cuts in and out intermittently.
They loved it, but I'd seek a cheaper alternative

This thing was nearly impossible to open to get the batteries in. The instructions didn't seem correct. They said to open the tail, but there was no opening there. Once we finally got the toy open and the batteries in, it didn't work. When I returned it, the lady said this is the second one she's had returned for it not working. I am glad, however, that they were willing to accept it as a return!
