One of my cats is extremely intelligent overall and she figures out treat-toys almost immediately. This is one that even the less clever cats can get treats from. I'd like it more if the treats weren't SO easy to get out of the holes. I read the review where another user said she puts crumpled paper in and I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't think of that, honestly.

My cats are not interested in this toy. They are interested in the food placed in it but they try playing for about 10 seconds and then lose interest.

My cat likes this toy, really because she loves food. I agree that the hole could be a little smaller as sometimes she'll roll it once and several treats will come out, but overall it's been a great purchase. I don't buy Kong treats, usually Friskies or something like that. It's also been great to help her lose weight, as I would put one of her daily meals in it to make sure she had to work to eat.

by Angelmichu It's ok, but you have to get creative.
I believe this toy was design with small dogs in mind because the hole that allows the treats to come out is entirely too big. I cannot see a cat eating a treat that would come out if such a big hole.
If it was smaller, I would give this ball a 5 stars.
However, because it's so large, I've had to put napkins folded up on both sides of the inner treat-holding tube so that it blocks the amount of treats that can come out at one point.
By doing this, my cats get a treat every couple of mins, and it keeps them entertained. The chase the ball, and bounce it against everything they can to try to get the treats out, and once they do they start all over again.
I fill this up maybe 2-3 times a month just to give them some fun treats without worrying about weight gain.
