I bought this nail clipper because it looked durable. I found that the clipper was big and bulky and hard to handle. If your pet isn't patient and moves around a lot this not what you are looking for. The blade worked okay for the first few times, but then it wasn't sharp enough making it harder to clip the nail off. The nail clipper didn't last long because the guillotine fell apart. The blades wouldn't go back into place correctly. I threw it away.

After the first two uses, the blade started to dull. After about 18 months, I've thrown it away. Blade is not able to be sharpened or replaced. And if you are a friend to your fur babies, you should know that the sharper the clipper, the more quickly you can get it over with, the cleaner the clip, and the least amount of discomfort you cause your kitty. From the animal's perspective, it tends to pinch when it gets dull. So using a sharp clipper is very important... and this specific gadget doesn't get the job done.
