I just tried this in my female cat's box and it clumps hard and does not break up. The lighter color crystals (lime green), make it so much easier to tell which pieces of litter are clean and which are not. The mild scent is pleasing to the cats and they all (2 male and 1 female) insist on using the one box. The litter controls the odor, unless the cat does not cover the debris. I scoop the litter twice daily, and can just add replacement litter to the same level. My personal resonu

Rated 1 out of 5 by L in MTL Really disappointed
I've used tidy cats litter for the past ten years, but recently have had a lot of problems with it. The litter I've always used doesn't seem to be available in the store, and the only things are "dual action" and the normal litter with "glade" added to it. Both smell absolutely horrible on their own, and when the cats use it is even worse. Even though it is listed as "tight clumps", urine does not clump at all. I am so mad at myself for the three containers of litter I bought in the past two weeks, all of which have made my house smell horrible. I will most likely be switching to arm and hammer, because it is one of the few that doesn't have an overwhelming scent added to it.

I bought 2 of the 40 lb containers, and this product stinks....literally! My patio that has the cat box smells like a dirty old folks home!
I really like the red top, beware of the purple top because it is really rotten. Also, it doesn't clump as well as the red top, either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by sapphireangel DON'T USE. DOESN'T CLUMP. TERRIBLE PRODUCT.
Only switched because MaxScoop is discontinued. Says "tight clumping" but turns to a sludge like texture and doesn't clump AT ALL. The "sludge like texture" then breaks down and just blends into the litter and makes it impossible to scoop out.
Since changing, my cat (who has known allergies) has started scooting around the house, allergy symptoms have been acting up and he's started urinating around the house. I stopped using Tidy Cats and all of the above has since stopped. I have also talked to colleagues and family who are all switching to a different litter due to similar issues.
PLEASE BRING BACK MAXSCOOP. IT WAS A GREAT PRODUCT.
