Lightweight and absorbent. NO dust. Minimal tracking. I tried this in desperation after trying many different brands and types. I suppose it depends on your cats, but I have two cats (one with FLUTD), and one with an occasional litter box aversion that have been helped with this litter. When one has a FLUTD flare-up, he prefers a soft litter (rather than his normal unscented clumping). This paper litter (in crumbles) works great for that purpose. I used to have to cut up soft sheets and t-shirts to add to the litter for him. The other cat pees in large quantity and when he accidentally gets his feet wet in the clumping litter, he will use this litter for a while. I keep litter boxes with both types out at all times. For some reason, they do not try to dig or cover this paper litter and that really helps with the cleanup. I only fill the box to about 2" and I simply scoop the wet blob out with a piece of thin cardboard #like a paper plate cut in half# and wipe down the damp area from which it came with a litter box wipe. It doesn't smell. Occasionally, they will go poo in it and I simply use disposable gloves to clean that out. Yes there is some smell until I clean that out #because it sits on top#, but it is easy to clean up and the litter lasts a very long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TwoKits great paper litter
My kitties really love the softer texture of this paper litter. It doesn't track and I like the odor control of the litter. Only problem is the store I frequent keeps running out of it!

I ran out of my usual cat litter and thought I would try a bag of this to get me by. Well once the cats used it, I noticed the litter does NOT absorb odor at all. The cats end up hating it and trying to throw it out of the cat box because it smells so bad. I would try and scoop out the wet litter several times a day, but it's practically impossible. The only solution would be to completely remove all the litter everyday and wash the cat box.
If I could have given a zero rating, I would have. Went to a different pet shop and got my usual cat litter.

All of my cats are 10+ years old now. When the eldest started rejecting clay litter and one other was having sinus problems because of clay dust, I chose to switch litter types. After much trial and error, this paper litter solved all of my issues. It is less expensive than anything else I have used, controls odors well, and is easy to clean up after. It does not clump, but I have adapted and use a single layer of product and scoop everyday. I have 6 boxes to 4 cats, so once a day cleaning is ok. Less boxes may need more scooping. DO WISH it was sold online though. My closest store is 35 miles away and is often out of this product.
