High Tech Power Pet Electronic Pet Door
Tex Loves IT
I originally bought the medium door but once I took it out of the box I knew it was going to be too small. So I ordered the larger one. This is much better in size for the dog but not so much for the door it is mounted in. If I had a wall to install it in I would much rather that. It works well, my dog got used to it in no time and loves it. Sometimes he just goes to the door lets it open and he just looks out. The power transformer is ok if you have an outlet real close by. I am thinking of getting the battery and just charging it once in a while. The sensor collar is a bit cheap but this one has a screw holding it together so I don't think I will have the same problem as previous owners with it falling apart. I would recommend this. The screws that come with it are not great so I got stronger screws. Mine is on a raised panel door so insulation tape and caulking is needed.

Great Product, and worked well out of the box. Simple to Install, just 8 screws and you are there. I like the gravity door, so your pet will not get injured during a malfunction. The adjustments for distance of the sensor are simple and accurate for entry and return.
Product arrived in a couple of days, very impressive.

installation was easy enough ... although i laughed when i saw that i had to cut a hole in the door 12.88 x 17.25 inches .... does anyone have a tape measure that can accurately do 12.88 inches ?!?
I fitted it to a standard foam filled door with no real problems.
only problem i can see moving forward is the location of the AC input - bit of a pain so I would recommend getting the battery option (which costs additional)
our dogs have already popped through the electric door and are getting used to it

Product is good in general.
Wish I had enough information when ordering the door to know that in-wall installation by a professional would have been a sound investment. Also ordering a piece to fit between the inside wall and exterior wall would have assured a more finished installation. The goal was to keep my cat from escaping through the door used by my 40 pound dog and it has accomplished that, however the delay when the door closes may provide just enough time for a very smart cat to duck through and escape but not be able to get back in.
