Top Paw Dog Shedding Blade
Not for labs.
I have two Labradors and they shed a lot. I bought this hoping to make brushing quicker and easier but it did not work at all. It might work for dogs with longer fur but not on labs.

it does help, but not great, dog loved it!
I purchased the large size, since we have a husky. We used an undercoat brush/rake prior to shedding blade.
This is a supreme help over a standard brush, and was an aid to her large slicker brush. It does help loosen trapped hairs, and they WILL fly in the wind! And the dog (traumatized last year by a bad groomer session) LOVED it - i think it massaged her! Using it looped, I was annoyed that the handles kept popping apart, though the link does keep it from flying apart.
(I didn't try it on her wet, but it supposed to be good to help remove extra water from the coat. I've used a similar item to remove sweat from a horse and I do think it would be helpful after bathing.)
As a shedding tool, it didn't work half as well as I hoped, or I saw on multiple videos and training sites. *Perhaps* because my doggie is in full blow, and we have not been able to remove her hair as regularly as usual for the past month.
I think this will work much better for a slightly longer length coat, such as a lab mix or perhaps shepherd, instead of full hairball dogs! :) I purchased the shedmonster at the same time and was AMAZED by the amount of hair removed, repeatedly, from the same spot.
I love Petsmart and their easy return policy. I encourage you to buy and try until you find what works. Our pets are individual, just like us!

Amazing for long haired dogs!
We've had this for about 2 years now, and use it every other day for our long haired dogs. It works very well at taking off the loose, dead fur without damaging their coats. Between this and regular grooming appointments, they have the softest, healthiest fur out of every dog in our neighborhood!
This too is my best friend when they're blowing coat!
If you do this gently, it works to best. Do not my rough or you may tear your animal's fur. This tool is for getting the loose fur off, only, so if you're too hard with it (like I'm assuming the person who broke theirs twice has been) you are going to hurt your animal by tearing its hair out.
Tip: I would do this outside so that you don't have to worry about sweeping up when you're done. You'd be suprised how much dead fur your pup has underneath everything!

top paw shedding blade
I have purchased this product twice, they work well but do not last. The blade brakes from the plastic. My dog has short hair but a double coat and I use it once a day it will only last about two months. I won't buy another one!!!!
