by Daghain LOVE IT!
I bought one of these for my eleven-year-old Shiba, because she looked so uncomfortable lying on the floor. It took her awhile to warm up to it, but now she LOVES it. The cover unzips so you can launder it (a MUST have with a Shiba - they 'blow coat' twice a year and there is hair EVERYWHERE). It's a bit tricky to get the bed back into the cover (Hint: DON'T try to dump the bed into the cover like a pillow - start at one end of the pillow and roll the cover up - much easier) but it's not impossible. This bed IS heavy for the size, but it's because it's made of memory foam pieces - at first I thought this might be a problem, but as it turns out, this makes for a really comfy pet bed - it conforms to how the pet lies on it. When you put the cover on after laundering you may have to smack or stomp on the bed a bit to kind of get it uniform again, but the dog quickly got it back into the shape she wanted. I love this so much I'm thinking of getting her another one.
Oh, and the cat totally tried to take it over when I first brought it home, so it's definitely a hit in this household.

I bought this bed during the Black Friday sale because it looked like a good sturdy but not outrageously overpriced bed for my aging dog. It said that it had top and bottom solid layers made with memory foam clusters, and that's the part that should have stood out to me before I bought it "clusters". But I ended up buying the large to give it a go since it was such a good price
First of all this bed is extremely heavy! It came very tightly packed in a roll. I let it breath out of the package for 10 hours and it had not fluffed up at all during that time (the package does say it can take up to 24 hrs breathing time). So via the instructions I put it in the dryer on low for 5 min to help it fluff up faster so my dog could use it that night. What came out was a clumpy mess with high and low areas. I tried to fix it to get it all uniformed and laying down again but because of the nature of the memory foam I noticed it wasn't ever going to be the same again.
I'm now attempting to get my money back or exchange it for a different bed; one that is a one solid piece of memory foam.
