All Living Things® Flying Saucer Small Animal Wheel
Good concept, but doesn't work
I've had both the smallest saucer and the largest and both were a disappointment.
I got the smallest a little over two years ago when I got my two dwarf hamsters. They had one in their habitat when I purchased them, and seemed to enjoy. So to make them happy I bought them one for their new cage. They ran on it on occasion, but it would constantly get stuck on the bedding or bedding would get stuck in the joint to the point that it seemed they forgot what it was for and just burrowed under it. This added to the bedding that was piling up under it and it wouldn't have turned even if they both were running on it... I understand that this isn't an inherent design flaw, but it really wasn't sturdy enough to be consistent and smooth on the bedding.
The second time I purchased one it was the largest and this was less than three weeks ago. I got it for my Chinchilla in the hopes that it would be the best thing for her to exercise on. Wheels can be hard on their backs and everything I've read said saucers were the best. I purchased this saucer for ALMOST THIRTY DOLLARS. Which was ridiculous to me, but I was willing to do whatever i could to make her happy! Less than three weeks later its broken. It took her awhile to learn to run on it, and once she did the thing slipped and slid all over the cage. I anchored it using some fabric and then it jumped and rattled every time she tried to run on it. I checked on her this morning and there it is in two pieces.
I seriously regret purchasing this item, particularly the second time. If you're going to charge so much for a piece of plastic, at least ensure that it will function. The product was not sturdy and not even really usable for her. I'm almost glad it broke because it validates my suspicion that this is a subpar product and it makes my decision for me: i'll have to buy her a wheel, but i'm very disappointed in the quality of this saucer.

I bought my hedgehog the 12" flying saucer wheel to change things up in his cage. He likes it a lot better than his old wheel (which was actually made for hedgehogs.) He runs on it for hours and its easy to clean! If I got another hedgie or small animal I would definitely buy another one of these.

I bought the small for my winter white boys online. When it came, I put it in their cage and even my smallest boy arched his back. Dwarves need at least a medium

Good, Once They Get The Hang of it!
I recent purchased a dwarf hamster. He's fairly small and had a hard time with the wheel that came with his cage. I purchased Bean this wheel and it took him a little while but now, third night having it he spins like a pro and has no problems! He has the medium size, the small would probably be too small! Over all it's a good product! It's not loud, as long as it's not sitting one a hard surface, stick some bedding under the stand and it reduces noise a fair bit! :)
