Chewed through the rungs in a day. Going to have to find some way to make the cover again to hold in hay. Good assembly and size, just vulnerable to the rodent teeth-action.

So I bought this to keep my guinea pigs' hay in so it would be neater and not strown about. However, the slats are too close together so the G. Pigs cannot easily get to their hay. One frustrated pig who really loves her hay, finally decided sitting on top of was the solution. I was afraid she might get stuck in it somehow, so I knocked out one of the slats. now they can reach the hay, but the smaller pieces of hay fall out the hole and pile up under the rack. This defeats the purpose of trying to keep the hay tidy. This product has a terrible design and I regret my purchase.

Bought this because it was a more natural product for my guinea pig's hay. They had a very difficult time getting hay out and had to stretch to the very top to get it out. Even found one of my guinea pigs on top of it - that was one motivated piggie to get hay. I finally broke out the bottom rung and it worked better, but now a lot of hay falls out and to the bottom of the cage. Will be looking for something different.

My rabbit had a very hard time getting hay out of it and he would get mad and kick it because it was so difficult. Only had it for about 4 days. Was waste of money and had to go out and buy a different one.
