Most guinea pig cages in stores are too small for guinea pigs. This cage is a nice size. I looked into making a c&c cage but this is very similar for a fraction of the price. As long as you don't have young children or other pets that will harm your pig the open top is super! I line the bottom with incontenence chucks that I bought on amazon. Then I cut a uhaul furniture pad blanket to fit the bottom so that I have a stack of 4. Finally I fold over that a layer of anti-pill fleece . Lasts a week with no stink and no more wood shavings!

This cage is truly one of the best cages on the market. I just bought one, and seeing as if I would write down everything this would be a huge paragraph, to save your time I'll give u a pros and cons list.
2.)Just the right height so your piggy can't escape
3.)Fairly cheap, compared to the other cages that are smaller and cost more
4.) Easy to clean
5.) easy to assemble and dissemble
1.) Not good for small spaces
2.) The doors aren't really needed when there is a huge top to lift them out
3.) The wiring is a bit flimsy until u get the hang of it.
I hope u consider getting this cage! I love it, and as long as u have the space I think u will too!

This is a great cage for starters. This is a great, cheap, large, and a very entertaining cage for your guinea pig, rabbit, etc.

This cage is so much better than any of the other cages on the market. It is huge! Most cages are hardly big enough for one young pig, let alone a fully grown one. This cage can accommodate two fully grown pigs very comfortably. It gives them plenty of room to run around and play. It is also easy to clean. If you are worried about them escaping, they can't, as they can't jump that high.
