Rated 5 out of 5 by ogwl perfect cage!
All the other reviews give it a low rating because it's "too small" but that is somewhat incorrect. If people give their guinea pigs the time they require, then it can be a great cage. Guinea pigs are very social and if you only only have one (like this kit recommends) and spend time with it often then the cage is a good size.
I love how this cage comes with a shield to prevent bedding from getting kicked into the floor and how it is incredibly easy to clean. I have used the "C&C" cages in the past, but have found it to be unsanitary and it even left a very bad odor from the waste staining the bottom despite the weekly bedding changes. Also, my guinea doesn't seem to care that this cage is smaller than the other one. In the C&C cage, I would never see him leave his pigloo but in this one he is always out wondering around and investigating. I think it's because this one has a top and that makes him feel more safe.

You should own at least 2 guinea pigs together. This cage is not even big enough for one, let alone the recommended 2. Maybe a rat cage but definitely not a guinea pig cage.

This cage is too small for a Guinea Pig. At best if would be OK to temporarily isolate a piggy when ill from the other piggies. A single pig needs at a minimum you need 6 sq feet. Better to have 2 piggies with a min of 8 square feet. They do better when they have a companion.

This cage is way to small for a full grown guinea pig, let a lone two. Guinea pigs should never be singles unless for medical purposes. This cage is good for separation of pigs for a short period of time only.
