so i have 3 guinea pigs and another on the way who is pregnant and i love these cages . All my guinea pigs are in separate cages because they dislike each other i use the rabbit size cages for the adult guinea pigs and the babys in the guinea pig size one (until they get bigger) then i have 2 gerbils they have the hampster size one and love it my 3 dogs ar very nice and wouldnt hurt anything love the cages to because the sound doesnt hurt there ears and it also dosnt scare the guinea pigs so overall it is very easy to open, its a complete starter kit.and it a little small for adult guinea pigs

please do not torture your guinea pig by putting them in this tiny cage. I only bought it as a temporary cage while waiting on the bigger one in the mail. The smallest recommended cage for a piggy is 7.5 sq ft (such as the midwest habitat) and even then they need lots of floor time. Guinea pigs need lots of exercise and love to run and popcorn, and this simply does not give them room to do so. It is a decent quality cage, but please only use it if you have a sick pig that needs to be separated. Also, the wire part is almost impossible to reattach to the base once you've removed it for cleaning.

We use this cage for our mini rex rabbit. It was a good size to fit in our house. We let our rabbit out to hop around the room almost every day. If a rabbit was kept in this cage all the time it would be too small.
After a few months we took the top level out and it seams to work better, not broken just works better for the rabbit. Easy to clean and access, there is a front door and the top opens also. We have had this over a year and still doing well. Only negative is the plastic quality seams a little thin, but it is still working well. We use the wheels on to move the cage and clean around it, but you can take the wheels off.

Got this cage for my male guinea pig, he never used the ramp/second story. He barely had any room. I couldn't fit his igloo, toys, etc. Now that I recently bought another guinea pig, how could I expect both of them to fit in there. The pros are that he had one hidey spot. I returned the cage and just bought a huge rabbit cage for 40 dollars. I recommend a rabbit cage because it is spacious and could fit 2 igloos and toys and accessories. Plus they use the second story a lot more than this ones second story.
