This cage is great in addition to other crittertrail hamster cages. I do not recommend this as a single-cage habitat because it is very small. There aren't very many things that fit in here (Syrian-sized wheel, large toys, tunnels etc.) Overall this cage is great but you need many other things to accommodate it well to your hammy setup :)

My hamster loves to climb and explore, so last summer we bought him this, thinking he would be able to use this and have more room to run around. Little did we know that the sides of the cage (where the bubble pieces attach) were soft plastic. My hamster chewed through the areas to connect tunnels, allowing him to knock off the attachment pieces and escape. I would not recommend this product, unless your small animal doesn't chew on things or if Kaytee/CritterTrail changes the design.

I bought this cage for my robo hamster, planning to add other ones later. During the one week I had this cage I had the most problems one could possibly imagine. The top of the cage was always disconnecting, even when I closed it I knew it would slide back up and get close to falling off. The two sides/connectors could be easily pushed out by my hamster Strife, who would try to get there to nap and the pieces would fall off. The wire sides were simply great, if not too flimsy. The whole cage felt like it would fall apart. The wheel is quite noisy. The water bottle was great, the only good thing about the cage, I would say. I don't like the shiny colors at all, so that's a negative. For me. The cage is small for a robo, because they need lots of enrichment, which can't fit into this tiny cage. Overall, I really don't recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 There are two holes on the top for connecting tubes but there is no way to connect the tubes on top inside of the cage they did not make the tube holes wide enough.
