National Geographic™ Exploration Loft Small Animal Home
Ruined in only 10 days
I purchased this product for my son only 10 days ago. We have two gerbils in this home and they have chewed the hide-a-way house so that it no longer stays in place and falls down onto the lower level. The wheel was also chewed and it no longer stays attached. Who ever designed this should have known that gerbils would chew. Do not buy this product! You will only have to go and buy another habitat in a couple of weeks.

Great cage - except for escape risk.
Purchased this as a habitat for orphaned mouse.
All needed accessories included (food dish, water bottle, wheel and hide house.)
Easy to clean!!!!!!
Mouse can escape by climbing on the wheel, grabbing the water bottle, and then out the large opening by the latch. Need to redesign latch area!!! I covered with several layers of slick and thick packing tape so mouse can neither grip it, chew it or scratch through it.

Compact and perfect for smaller pets
I originally purchased this for a baby Vole that was orphaned. It was a great set up being they are so small there was plenty of room to roam and play. However, with that being said. It was also "too big" for him. The water container didn't come down far enough to allow him to reach it, and the bowl is too tall. The concept is fantastic however with that being said, it is too small. I'm disappointed in Nat Geo for putting out products that are too small for pets. A few more inches is all that is needed to make this a fantastic cage and lifelong habitat. What's a few more dollars when you're already spending over $50 for it anyway? We're looking into getting the smallest pet we can find to enjoy this atmosphere, however that is starting to look like a Dwarf Hamster and or Pygmy Mouse.
