Great basic cage!
I had one of those tiny brightly colored plastic tube cages and it was junk. Hard to clean, and waaay too small for my brand new (very large) long haired Syrian hamster King Fluffy. So I read all the reviews and decided to take a chance on this. Im SO glad I did! I bought mine in store, went right home and opened the box. It was in perfect condition. The sides folded right out and I was able to put it together in literal seconds without even looking at the directions. Very sturdy wire, and the bottom tray is AMAZING. Its a sturdy, deep plastic. It keeps my hammy feeling safe and secure (I have a cat and toddler) and it keeps all the bedding from being kicked out when Fluffy plays. This has room for his rather large house, wheel, lots of toys, water bottle and food dish with plenty of room to spare. Great purchase for the price. *The only con I have is, just like everyone else I hate the door latch. But I can live with it.

Don't waste your money!
I've had this cage for 2 years and 2 of the bars have broken! The first one broke in the first SIX MONTHS of having it! I do NOT recommend this cage to anyone, especially if you have rats, that can climb! Spend a little more for a cage that will last you much longer, because this one is NOT worth it!

Not worth it
This cage is better for guinea pigs. Originally got this cage for my 2 gerbils. It has the space for two active girls but is very easy for them to chew through thin base. I wouldn't recommend this cage for any gnawing rodent! Not worth the price.

Ok for a temporary home
I got this cage for housing 2 baby rats until they were big enough for my other cage. This cage is not very good quality and it was very difficult to put together. I had to use a pair of pliers to bend down the hooks that hold the cage together and even with pliers it was still very hard. Once put together I was very annoyed with the door and the bars. The door is hard to open and when closed it bends the bars of the cage, the bars are very flimsy and easily bent. I knew this cage was going to be small but the plastic base gets drastically smaller towards the bottom making the floor space alot smaller than the dimensions of the cage suggest. Overall this cage did what I wanted it to but I had very low expectations as i just needed a cheep cage to keep my baby rats in for a few weeks. I would suggest this cage only for temporary housing as it is way too small for a permanent home for rats. If you can afford better, get that instead. The one thing I did like about the cage was the high plastic base making it nearly impossible for my rats to spill bedding out of it.
