This should be cheaper because you would have to buy 2 or maybe even 3 of these to reach the size that is bigger than your cage (which is recommended for exercise).

Rated 4 out of 5 by sweet50n Taller than Crittertrail Playpen : 12 inches.
This is taller than the colorful Crittertrail Playpen which is quickly climbed over by hamsters. Secure it, though at all intersections. Hamsters love to get out and you can create a little "city" for them to explore outside of their cages. These playpens are also good to corner your hamster in the house into a limited area so they are easier to catch. I would still not leave hamsters unsupervised. Buy a clear ball and let them run while you clean their cage. Gerbils can be put in s plastic trashcan, about 10-12 inches tall and put a catalog ( like Sear's) across the top. Without the lid, the gerbils will jump like little kangaroos and you will see their happy faces over the top. Put a heavy catalog in top and fix it so it won't tip over. Hamsters: Let run in ball, that is also masking taped a bit so the lid doesn't come off when they bang into appliances.
