Rated 4 out of 5 by rattieloverr A pretty awesome cage!
This cage is really nice and so big! I just wasnt satisfied with all the other cages on the market. I love how the doors open right up, most of the time I leave them open so that I can sociailize with my rats every time I walk by. Visually, the cage doesnt look too bad in my living room.
This cage was actually super easy to build. I am a 100lb small female and I put this together by myself. I get what the other reviewers are saying about the side panels not fitting in.. and at first i tried banging them in like everyone else. But then i thought to just try another side panel to see if it fits and it did! So you just need to find the side panel that fits into each side perfectly.
One thing i do not like about this cage are the shallow pans. I think the rats would feel more snug and less exposed if it was a bit deeper. I line my cage with dog training pads, it works ok for now because my rats are litter trained. I also dont like that where you put the second levels there are 3 big holes on each corner, once the level is up it leaves 2 big holes unused in each corner that animal feet can get stuck in. It would be great if they included plastic caps to insert for safety. Right now i just taped over it. Thanks to the other reviewer for the heads up about this problem!
My rats are having the time of their lives in this cage and overall it has the potential to be THE perfect cage. If the company just took reviews to heart and made the small but important changes than it definitely could be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by WithyWillow Big beautiful cage, poorly designed
I own sugar gliders. This was meant to be my third cage in my "suggie room". However, I am currently taking a break after fighting for over 2 hours trying to fit round pegs into squares holes...quite literally. The side panels are the most infuriatingly idiotic design I have ever seen, and I've owned a LOT of cages. The side panels have two thick round pegs that are supposed to fit into these smaller, square holes on the front and back panels. The square holes are lined with a hard plastic/rubber that I'm assuming is supposed to act as a buffer so you don't have metal on metal. However, after beating them with a rubber mallet, leaning my full weight on side panel, and begging God for mercy... the side panels will not go down into those square holes. Not even 1/4th of an inch. So now I'm faced with trying to jury rig this thing or getting a refund. Did I mention this cage is HEAVY?! I dread the thought of having to repack this thing and drag it back into the store. This is such a shame. It's a nice sturdy cage if only someone in their engineering department would get a clue.

This product has a great look and appears to be a fully functioning unit in all ways, but the design needs to be adjusted so that the "building it" part flows a lot faster! Very easy to follow instructions, but it literally took my boyfriend and I over 2 hours to put together!! The powder coated finish gives it a great look, but it is not ideal for the type of design and way the pieces fit together. The powder coating ended up scraping off as we were trying to gently put the pieces together. The instructions even recommend using a rubber mallet to slam the pieces together! Also, some part of each piece was bent out of shape, so we had to bend everything back into place before we could even get the parts to fit together correctly. The doors were uneven and the hinges were almost rusted shut, none of the metal bars of the cage itself were fully straight, and many were so bent we were afraid our animals would escape. Again, this product has great potential, but the design of it needs some serious changing!! I do not recommend this unit unless you plan on never taking it apart again or even housing any small animals!! Needless to say, we expected a little better of a product for the price we paid for it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Katiethemuffin Amazing cage BUT BE CAREFUL PLEASE READ
I have two 10-week old female degus who absolutely love this cage, and they love to climb. Last night, one of them got her paw caught in one of the side holes for the smaller platforms and was bleeding everywhere. She will be fine, but it was absolutely terrifying and I'm sad that my little one got hurt. PLEASE cover the holes you do not use for the platforms with tape or something! The holes were not reamed and if they try and drop down after holding on with one of the holes, it can cut your little friend's paws. Other than that, I highly recommend this cage, just make sure you run your hands EVERYWHERE to make sure there's nothing that can hurt your little buddies! Having your paw sliced across is not nice!!
